In March of 2017, Canadians from Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa and Kelowna walked in support of the millions of women around the world living in poverty. Together, we raised over $350,000 in support of CARE’s work with women and girls, to help them lift themselves out of poverty and, ultimately, to change the world. Because we know that when women and girls are empowered, everyone wins. This year, we hope to make an even bigger impact. But we can’t do it without YOU. Whether you join a walk in one of the four cities or host your own walk wherever you live, you’ll be walking in solidarity with women and girls around the world.
Join us on March 4, 2018 at Community Creekside Recreational Centre to walk in solidarity with women and girls around the world, the funds you raise will help fight poverty and social injustice
CARE’s Walk In Her Shoes challenges members of the public from all walks of life to walk (or run) 10,000 steps (7km), the distance many women and girls in developing countries travel each day for basic necessities. The event raises support for CARE, a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty and a registered Canadian charity.
Your receiptable $25 registration fee will help support women and girls to lift themselves out of poverty.
