If you’re hoping to get a raise at work, you’ll want to sleep more.
A new study found people who slept one hour extra a week saw their wages increase by 5% in the long run. In the short term, that extra hour helped workers boost their pay by 1.3%.
It’s thought part of what contributes to this trend is the fact that sleep makes a worker more productive. Researchers write, “Our study demonstrates that sleep is not just an economic curiosity but rather a vital determinant of productivity and an important part of an individual’s time allocation decision.”
Now if only other goals in life were THAT easy 😉
