Winter is coming. Unfortunately the word ‘snowmageddon’ will be back to annoy us all…

The Weather Network has released its winter forecast and is predicting a stormy winter with plenty of snow to go around.
Technically it’s “due to a weak to moderate La Niña, this winter is shaping up to have two distinct personalities— while Canadians should brace themselves for periods of high-impact weather and an impressive amount of snowfall, the good news is we should get a mid-winter break,” says the Chief Meteorologist at The Weather Network.
BC can expect ‘colder than normal’ conditions this winter, which means more snow for the mountains and probably downtown.

There is good news however, whilst the snow and cold could be intense during winter it’s not expected to overstay it’s welcome like last year. The experts predict the snow and winter conditions in the Lower Mainland “will not be as persistent or as severe as it was last year, especially for the south coast of BC”.
So.. enjoy the snow while you can. I’m going to try and embrace it while I can, what about you?
