The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is making room for the year’s biggest blockbusters to enter the Oscars race.
On Wednesday, the organization announced some of the changes that would be made to the Oscars, including a shorter show by having some of the awards presented during commercial breaks & then highlighting them after the break, and allowing box office hits to have a chance at an Oscar.
A lot of people were saying a movie like Black Panther is amazing (which isn’t just word of mouth, it was proved at the box office) but it doesn’t have a chance at an Oscar because of the type of movie it is. WELL get ready Chadwick Boseman and Michael B Jordan because these changes are now giving movies like Black Panther that chance. There are mixed emotions about these changes BUT it just opens the Oscars up to new viewers and I mean… cutting the show down time wise, BRILLIANT.
