I know what you're thinking the second you see a photo like this for a contest that is titled "Dreamy Dads". No, hes not standing shirtless on the beach with sun-kissed skin smiling as I stand behind the camera capturing his moment, beaming with joy.
This is a photo of my children's father in 25 degree heat washing his parents entire trailer on his day off work. Yes, it is always nice to help out your parents but this man, My Man, goes far above and beyond.
If you have read this far, please, don't give up on this caption just yet.
My Mother in law was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non Hodgkin Lymphoma and Ovarian Cancer last June, and my father in law suffers from a form of Multiple Sclerosis. As you can imagine, this means they need help for things, and a lot of the time - they wont even ask.
Instead Kyle (as photographed above by his Dad), will take it upon himself to do anything and everything, literally, that he can to help them out. Whether that is staying late to help clean after family dinners, lifting things up their stairs, taking out garbage, chopping wood, putting together or taking apart things they have bought - he is always there. Unasked, and with no complaint. He truly has a heart of gold.
Being a father to his own two children, he works hard as a commercial floor layer during the week and spends his evenings and weekends being the most incredible Dad, the kind of Dad i always wanted as a little girl myself.
In the past five months, between work, the kids, and helping out Mom and Dad, Kyle had dedicated himself to the gym to help not only with his stress level but to also take control of his health.
Since becoming a member at the Pitt Meadows Anytime Fitness, Kyle has been featured as Member of the Month (April of 2016) and won a contest named "Mountaineer Challenge" this month.
As you can imagine, he has lost a ton of weight! (Bravo my love, so proud!!) and really got his health in check. This contest would give him such a great opportunity to do something for himself. A new wardrobe to fit into the new him.
Believe me, the love I have for this man could power me to write endlessly. His amazing willingness to help out - never ends. My whole heart believes he deserves a treat like this for Fathers Day, I'm sure many others would agree <3
